Women's Golf Takes 4th at GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay women's golf team took fourth place at the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which concluded on Sunday, April 28 at the Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Oilers fired a 322 on the final day of competition, ending the tournament with a three-round score of 968 (331, 315, 322).

Lauren Vogt led the team and finished in a tie for fifth place with a score of 235.  Vogt ended the tournament with an 80 on the final day of competition after shooting a 79 and 76, respectively, in the first two rounds.

Brooke Albers placed eighth with a 240 (84, 81, 75) and Michele Schambs finished in a tie for 13th place after carding a 247 (81, 83, 83 – 247).

Kasey Petty tied for 17th with a 249 (90, 75, 84) and Hannah Schneider took 33rd with a 269 (87, 88, 94).
