Women's Golf Takes 5th at Regional

Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team placed fifth at the NCAA Division II Super Region 1 Tournament, which concluded on Tuesday, May 7 at the Joilet Country Club in Joilet, Ill.

The Oilers carded a 331 on the third and final day of competition and ended the tournament with a three-round score of 980 (330, 319, 331).

Kasey Petty led the team and finished in a tie for 15th place with a 240 after firing an 80 on the final day.  Petty began the tournament with an 82 on Sunday and then shot a 78 on Monday for her total.

Lauren Vogt tied for 20th with a 245 (82, 77, 86) while Brooke Albers tied for 29th with a 248 (83, 80, 85).

Michele Schambs placed 32nd with a 251 (83, 88, 80) and Hannah Schneider was 48th with a 271 (87, 84, 100).
