The University of Findlay women's golf team is in third place at the Ferris State Bulldog Invitational, which wrapped up the first day of action on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.

The Oilers shot a 309 on the first day and are six strokes behind Grand Valley State, who is leading with a 303.

Brooke Albers is in third place for the Oilers after carding a 74 while Michele Schambs is tied for fourth with a 75.

Kasey Petty is tied for 12th with a 78, Taylor Tweed is tied for 22nd with an 80 and Hannah Schneider is tied for 28th with an 82.

Shelby Warner (87) and Emily Mock (96) are also competing for Findlay in the field of 86 golfers.

The tournament will end tomorrow.
