Women's Golf Headed to NCAA Regional

The University of Findlay women's golf team has qualified for the NCAA Division II East Regional, which will be played on May 4-6 at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind.

The Oilers are seeded fifth in the nine-team regional and will be vying for a spot in the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship, which is scheduled to be played on May 14-17 at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Canover, N.C.

The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from the regional will advance to the championship event.

East Region Teams:

4. Ashland
5. Findlay
6. California (Pa.)
7. Missouri-St. Louis
8. Southern Indiana
9. Drury

East Region Individuals:

1. Kasey Frazier, Wheeling Jesuit
2. Jamie Ellison, Ohio Dominican
3. Steph Peareth, Concord
4. Jenny Tsangeos, Walsh

The Oilers are coming off of a third place finish at the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship.
