Women's Golf in 3rd at Super Regional
The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in a tie for third place at the NCAA Division II Super Regional 1 Tournament, which wrapped up first round competition on May 4 at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
The Oilers shot a 319 on the first day of competition and are tied with Ferris State for third place. The top three teams in the region will advance to the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship.
Brooke Albers led the Oilers during the first day and is tied for fifth with a 77.
Kasey Petty is tied for eighth after carding a 78 and Shelby Warner is tied for 20th after firing an 81.
Michele Schambs (83) and Hannah Schneider (87) are also competing for Findlay at the event.
The tournament will continue tomorrow and end on Tuesday.
