Oilers Place 8th At The GVSU Invitational
The University of Findlay women's golf team finished in 8th place as they wrapped up final round action of the Grand Valley State Invitational, which took place on Sunday, September 28 at Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Michigan.
The Oilers finished with a team score of 663 (331, 332), which was led by junior Kasey Petty who finished the tournament tied for 17th with a score of 159 (79, 80).
Senior Michele Schambs finished tied for 31st with a score of 164 (80, 84).
Freshman Kelsey Koesters (167 - 86, 81), sophomore Shelby Warner (173 - 86, 87), junior Hannah Schneider (180 - 91, 89) and sophomore Taylor Tweed (192 - 103, 89) also competed for Findlay at the event.
The Oilers will return to the links on October 12-13 for the William Bing-Beall Fall Classic at the Findlay Country Club.
