Oilers Take 11th at Peggy Kirk Bell Invite

Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team wrapped up the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on March 3 in Winter Springs, Fla. The Oilers finished the tournament in 11th place with a three-round score of 985 (330, 327, 328).

Senior Michele Schambs led the Oilers during the event with a 235 (79, 75, 81), which was good for 32nd place. Junior Kasey Petty also recorded a top-40 finish by taking 38th with a 239 (79, 77, 83).

Sophomore Shelby Warner (83, 85, 80 – 248), sophomore Taylor Tweed (89, 82, 91 – 262), freshman Kelsey Koesters (89, 90, 84 – 263) and junior Hannah Schneider (92, 93, 90 – 275) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will return to the links again on March 21-22 at the NCAA DII Spring Fling in Carrollton, Ky.
