Oilers Take 6th at Perry Park

The University of Findlay women's golf team took sixth place at the NCAA DII Spring Fling, which wrapped up final round action on March 22 at the Perry Park Country Club in Carrollton, Ky.

The Oilers shot a three-round score of 950 (323, 317, 310) at the event. Their 54-hole score of 950 was the second lowest total in school history.

Kasey Petty led the way for the Oilers as she finished 13th with a 230 (79, 77, 74), the fourth lowest 54-hole score in school history.

Michele Schambs tied for 25th with a 235 (80, 79, 76) while Shelby Warner finished in a tie for 38th with a 240 (81, 78, 81).

Taylor Tweed (83, 89, 78 – 250), Kelsey Koesters (84, 88, 79 – 251) and Hannah Schneider (83, 85, 85 – 251) also competed for Findlay at the tournament.
