Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in third place at the Cavalier Classic, which wrapped up first round action on April 18.

The Oilers shot a 315 on day one and were led by junior Kasey Petty, who is in first place with a 1-over par score of 73. Petty, the reigning Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golfer of the Week after winning the Tiffin Invitational (April 12-13) last week, is one stroke up on Missouri-St. Louis' Stefaniya Ivanova.

Sophomore Shelby Warner is also having a good tournament for Findlay and is tied for ninth with a 78. Senior Michele Schambs is right behind her in the standings and is tied for 13th after carding a 79 on the first day.

Freshman Kelsey Koesters (85), sophomore Taylor Tweed (85) and junior Hannah Schneider (92) are also competing for the Oilers at the tournament, which will conclude tomorrow.
