The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in fourth place after the second day of the 2015 NCAA Division II Super Region 1 Tournament. The Oilers fired a 308 on the second day and have a two-round total of 627 (319, 308).

The Oilers, who are nine strokes off the lead and only one stroke behind Grand Valley State University for third place and an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship, were led by junior Kasey Petty on Monday.

Petty fired a 1-over par score of 73 on Monday and is currently tied for third at the tournament with a score of 151 (78, 73). Petty recorded 13 pars on the day and sprinkled in a pair of birdies.

Sophomore Shelby Warner is tied for 11th at the event with a 155 (79, 76) and senior Michele Schambs is tied with her after carding a 78 on Monday for her 155 (77, 78).

Freshman Kelsey Koesters recorded an 81 on Monday and has a 166 (85, 81) so far, which is good for 39th.

Junior Hannah Schneider is also competing for Findlay is 49th with a 174 (87, 87).

The tournament, which his being held at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill., will conclude tomorrow. The Oilers are looking for their second straight trip to the NCAA DII National Championship. The top three teams at the end of the regional will advance to nationals.
