Oilers 8th after Day 3 of National Championship

The University of Findlay women's golf team is in eighth place after day three of the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship, which is being held at the Meadows in Allendale, Mich. The Oilers fired a 311 on Friday and now have a 54-hole score of 956 (328, 317, 311) at the tournament.

Sophomore Shelby Warner posted a two-over par score of 74 on Friday to lead the team and she is currently 48th with a 242 (85, 83, 74). Warner recorded three birdies during her round and also mixed in ten pars.

Senior Michele Schambs also had a good round for the Oilers on day three as she posted a four-over par score of 76. Schambs, who recorded 14 pars during her round, is now tied for 17th at the tournament with a 54-hole score of 233 (79, 78, 76).

Junior Kasey Petty is now tied for 20th at the championship after carding an 80 on Friday. She has a three-round total of 234 (78, 76, 80).

Freshman Kelsey Koesters had an 81 on day three is 58th at the tourney with a 247 (86, 80, 81) while junior Hannah Schneider posted an 82 and is 71st at the tourney with a 260 (87, 91, 82).

The championship will conclude tomorrow.
