Petty, Hatter Win Summer Tournaments
Senior Kasey Petty won a Midwest Collegiate Amateur Series tournament on June 25. The tournament was held at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
Petty won the tournament with a 36-hole score of 148. Petty shot a 77 on the first 18 holes and then came back with a 1-under par score of 71 on the last 18 holes for her score. She finished the tournament 4-over par.
Incoming freshman Makenzie Torres finished tied for fifth with a 157 (81,76), Shelby Warner, a junior, tied for ninth with a 158 (81, 177) and sophomore Kelsey Koesters tied for 17th with a 165 (82, 83).
Elsewhere, incoming freshman Samantha Hatter won a junior tournament at the Indiana National Golf Club on June 24-25. Hatter finished with a 152 (78, 74) at the tournament.
