Oilers Finish 7th at Indy Fall Invite
The University of Findlay women's golf team completed the Indianapolis Fall Invitational on Tuesday, Sep. 15. The Oilers finished the tournament, which was being held at the Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., in a tie for seventh.
The Oilers shot a 318 in both rounds to end the tournament with a 636. They were led by junior Shelby Warner, who tied for 11th with a 154. Warner shot an 81 in the opening round and then came back with a 1-over par score of 73 in the final round.
Senior Kasey Petty tied for 19th with a 155 (75, 80) while freshman Makenzie Torres tied for 48th with a 162 (84, 78).
Freshman Samantha Hatter (78, 88 – 166), freshman Mikaela Hickey (87, 87 – 174) and sophomore Kelsey Koesters (91, 84 – 175) also competed for Findlay at the event that featured some of the top NCAA Division II programs in the nation.
