Petty Named Academic All-District

Kasey Petty, a senior on the women's golf team, was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Petty, who carries a 3.91 grade point average in early childhood education, ranks sixth in all of NCAA Division II with a 74.46 scoring average. Recently she finished as the runner-up at the NCAA Division II East Regional and was also the runner-up at the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship.

The Groveport, Ohio native was voted the 2016 GLIAC Women's Golfer of the Year and was also tabbed first team all-conference. She was named honorable mention All-American last year as well and earned first team all-league and region honors in 2015.

Petty will now be placed in the national ballot to determine Academic All-American accolades.
