Oilers Take 2nd at Bing-Beall

Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team finished second at the Bing-Beall Fall Classic, which concluded on Oct. 10 at the Findlay Country Club. The Oilers fired a two-day score of 625 (310, 315) to take runner-up honors as Missouri-St. Louis won with a score of 616 (309, 307).

Freshman Meredith Wipper led the Oilers with a 152 (73, 79) to tie for fourth at the tournament. Her finished enabled her to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.

Sophomore Samantha Hatter tied for ninth with a 155 (79, 76) while sophomore Makenzie Torres tied for 11th with a 156 (75, 81).

Senior Shelby Warner and junior Kelsey Koesters both tied for 28th at the event with a 164. Warner shot 83, 81 during the two days while Koesters posted an 84, 80 at the tournament.

Freshman Samantha Kellstrom tied for 35th with a 166 (87, 79) while freshman Mackenzie Keenoy tied for 47th with a 169 (82, 87).

The Oilers will tee it up again on Oct. 17-18 at Dayton.
