Oilers Climb to 5th in Golfstat Rankings

The University of Findlay women's golf program has climbed to fifth in the latest NCAA Division II Golfstat rankings. The ranking is the highest among Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) programs.

Individually, senior Shelby Warner ranks 27th in the individual rankings with a 74.10 scoring average while sophomore Makenzie Torres checks in 38th with a scoring average of 74.70.

Freshman Meredith Wipper ranks 73rd (75.60) and sophomore Samantha Hatter is also in the top-100, ranking 89th (75.90).

The Oilers have been birdie-making machines this season and have three individuals ranked in the top-11 in the nation in total birdies. Torres and Warner are tied for 6th with 27 while Wipper is tied for 11th with 26.
