Nashville, TN – The University of Findlay women's golf team sits in a tie for second place after the first day of the Trevecca Fall Invitational at the Old Hickory Country Club in Nashville, TN. The Oilers shot a 305 on Monday, Oct. 24 and will play their second round on Tuesday, Oct. 25. The course average on the day was an 84.

Freshman Meredith Wipper headlined the day and finds herself in sole possession of first place after posting an even par 72. She led the field with five birdies on the day and was second in par 3 scoring at even par.

Senior Shelby Warner and freshman Samantha Kellstrom each posted a 77 (+5) in the first round and are tied for 13th overall. Kellstrom was second in the field with 12 pars and was third in par 3 scoring at +1. Warner was fourth with 10 pars made.

Sophomore Samantha Hatter also cracked the top-20 as she sits in a tie for 20th after a score of 79 (+7) on the first day. She was second in the field with four birdies made.

The final score in the book for Findlay came from sophomore Makenzie Torres who fired an 84 (+12) and is in 35th place.

 Junior Kelsey Koesters competed as an individual and is currently in a tie for 45th after shooting an 87 (+15).
