Top-10 Individual Performances | #3 Shelby Warner

The 2016-17 athletic year was another successful one for the Oilers, who saw a plethora of individual athletes achieve outstanding accomplishments. The UF athletic media relations staff has put together a list of the top-10 individual performances from the 2016-17 campaign and will be revealing them during the summer months.

#3 | Shelby Warner | Women's Golf

Shelby Warner ended her career with a bang as she became only the second women's golfer in program history to be named All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Warner, the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golfer of the Year, earned first team all-region and first team all-conference accolades during the 2016-17 campaign. She captured two tournament titles, winning the Northwood Invitational on Oct. 4 with a score of 144 (73, 71) and the Dayton Invitational on Oct. 18 with a 36-hole score of 141 (74, 67). Her 67 at the Dayton Invitational was the third-lowest score in program history relative to par.

The Lima, Ohio native took fourth place at the GLIAC Championship and finished ninth at the regional. She ended the year ranked 36th among all women's golfers at the NCAA Division II level with a 75.89 scoring average and her 62 birdies ranked 30th in the nation.

During her career, Warner was named all-region twice and all-conference four times.
