Oilers in 1st After Day 1 of G-MAC Invite
The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently leading the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Fall Invitational with a 305 as they wrapped up round one action on Sep. 18 at the Findlay Country Club.
Junior Makenzie Torres led the team and is currently tied for first with an even-par score of 72. Torres recorded 12 pars during her round and also sprinkled in three birdies.
Freshman Kristian Kniesly played well for Findlay as well and is currently in third place with a 4-over par score of 76 while sophomore Samantha Kellstrom and senior Kelsey Koesters are tied fifth as they each posted a 78.
Sophomore Meredith Wipper is in seventh place with a 79 while junior Samantha Hatter is tied for 12th with an 81.
As a team, the Oilers posted a tournament-high eight birdies and 58 pars during the opening round of competition. The tournament will end tomorrow.
