Oilers Finish Day 1 of Beall Classic

Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team completed the first day of their annual Bing-Beall Fall Classic on Oct. 8 at the Findlay Country Club. The Oilers fired a 315 on day one and are currently tied for sixth at the event.

Sophomore Samantha Kellstrom led the Oilers with a 3-over par score of 75 while junior Makenzie Torres turned in a 77. Kellstrom is tied for ninth while Torres is currently tied for 13th.

Sophomore Meredith Wipper (80), senior Kelsey Koesters (82), junior Samantha Hatter (83), freshman Kristina Kniesley (83), sophomore Mackenzie Keenoy (89) and sophomore Mikaela Hickey () also competed for Findlay on the first day of competition.

The second and final day of the tournament will begin at 10am tomorrow.
