Oilers in 3rd at Music City Invite
The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently in third place after the first day of competition at the Trevecca Music City Invite, which is being held at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn.
The Oilers fired a 310 on the opening day and were led by junior Makenzie Torres, who carded a 75. Torres' 3-over par score puts her in sixth place at the tournament.
Junior Samantha Hatter is tied for seventh after posting a 76 while sophomores Samantha Kellstrom and Meredith Wipper are tied for 20th and 24th, respectively. Kellstrom shot a 79 on Monday while Wipper carded an 80.
Senior Kelsey Koesters is tied for 44th with an 83 while freshman Kristina Kniesly is tied for 62nd with an 87.
Indianapolis leads the event with a score of 300 and are followed by Grand Valley State, who posted a 303.
The tournament will end tomorrow.
