The University of Findlay women's golf team kicked off their spring schedule at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on March 5 at the Golden Bear Club at keene's Pointe in Windemere, Fla. The Oilers fired a 36-hole score of 612 (310, 302) on day one, which is good for eighth place.

Mackenzie Keenoy fired a team-best 151 during the first two rounds to lead Findlay. Keenoy carded a 75 in each of her two rounds and is tied for 30th at the tournament, which features the best NCAA Division II programs in the nation.

Makenzie Torres finished one stroke behind Keenoy and is tied for 35th with a 151. Torres posted a 77 during her first 18 holes and then came back with a 74 to finish the day.

Samantha Hatter is tied for 39th with a 152. Hatter carded a 79 in the opening round and then fired a 73 in round two, the lowest 18 hole score for the Oilers on the day.

Samantha Kellstrom (76, 77 – 153) is tied for 43rd, Meredith Wipper (81, 78 – 159) is tied for 65th, Kristina Kniesly (79, 81 – 159) is tied for 65th, Kelsey Koesters (84, 90 – 174) is tied for 92nd and Mikaela Hickey (87, 89 – 176) is tied for 94th.

The final day of competition will take place tomorrow.
