Wipper and Oilers Win Cav Classic
The University of Findlay women's golf team played a dual tournament with Walsh University at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio on April 28-29. The Oilers scored the victory by registering 617 strokes while Walsh had 681.
Meredith Wipper won the dual with a 36-hole score of 152 (75, 77). She was followed by Makenzie Torres (75, 79 – 153), Samantha Kellstrom (78, 78 – 156) and Kristina Kniesly (88, 72 – 160) in the team standings as they placed 2-4 at the event.
Kelsey Koesters (82, 79 – 161) took fifth, Samantha Hatter (83, 81 – 164) finished seventh, Mackenzie Keenoy (85, 80 – 165) placed eighth and Mikaela Hickey (87, 98 – 185) took 12th.
The Oilers will be back in action on May 7-9 at the NCAA DII Super Regional. The event will be hosted at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.
