Oilers in 8th at East Regional

Results

The University of Findlay women's golf team is currently tied for eighth after the first day of competition at the NCAA Division II East Regional, which is being held at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.

The Oilers shot a 316 on the first day and were led by Makenzie Torres, who is tied for sixth with a 74. Torres posted four birdies during her round and recorded nine pars.

Meredith Wipper fired an 80 and is tied for 39th, Samantha Hatter and Kristina Kniesly are tied for 46th with an 81, and Samantha Kellstrom is tied for 52nd with an 82.

Grand Valley State University leads the tournament after posting a 289.

The second round of competition will take place tomorrow.
