Oilers Sweep Conference Awards

All-Conference Team

The University of Findlay women's golf program swept the annual Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) awards, winning player, coach, and freshman of the year accolades.

Junior Makenzie Torres was voted the 2018 G-MAC Player of the Year after earning medalist honors at the league championship. She won the title with a 36-hole score of 151 (80, 71). Torres also went on to finish seventh at the NCAA Division II East Regional with a 54-hole score of 223 (74, 76, 73) to punch her ticket to the national championship.

Dominic Guarnieri was named the 2018 G-MAC Coach of the Year for his efforts this season. He has also been voted the 2015 and 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golf Coach of the Year twice (2015, 2017) since taking over the program.

Kristina Kniesly captured 2018 G-MAC Freshman of the Year accolades after posting a fourth place finish at the conference tournament.

In addition, junior Samantha Hatter and sophomores Meredith Wipper and Samantha Kellstrom were voted all-conference as well.

Hatter and Wipper both tied for second at the league tournament while Kellstrom took seventh.
