Torres Posts a 78 on Day 1

Junior Makenzie Torres posted a 6-over par score of 78 on the first day of the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship, which is being held at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Torres fired a 1-under par score of 35 on the front nine highlighted by a pair of birdies on holes two and seven, but went 7-over par on the back nine for her score. She is currently in a tie for 49th at the event, which will continue tomorrow.
