Torres Takes 30th at National Championship

Junior Makenzie Torres finished in a tie for 30th at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship, which wrapped up final round action on May 19 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Torres finished the tournament with a 54-hole score of 305, the fifth-lowest total in school history. She ended the tournament with a 79 on Saturday, which was preceded by a 78 in round one, a 72 in round two, and a 76 in round three.

Torres finished the championship event with a total of 12 birdies, which was the fifth-highest among the field of competitors.
