The University of Findlay women's golf team fired a 1-over par score of 289, the second-lowest 18-hole score in program history, and is sitting atop the leaderboard at the G-MAC Fall Invitational which is being held at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind.

The Oilers, who have a 28-stroke lead after the opening day, saw all six of their golfers at the event end the day in the top-10. The group was led by Makenzie Torres who is leading the tournament with a 3-under par score of 69. Torres' 69 is the third-lowest score in school history.

Meredith Wipper posted a 1-under par score of 71 and is in second place while Kristina Kniesly fired a 2-over par score of 74 and is in third place.

Samantha Hatter finished with a 3-over par score of 75 and is in fourth place while Samantha Kellstrom and Jill Schmitmeyer are tied for eighth with a 5-over par score of 77.

The tournament will continue tomorrow.
