Kniesly Wins Player of the Week Award
Findlay, Ohio - University of Findlay women's golfer Kristina Kniesly has been named Great Midwest Ahtletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Golfer of the Week after an incredible performance at the G-MAC Fall Invite on Sep. 17-18 in Columbus, Ind.
Kniesly earned medalist honors in the event after posting a 67 (-5) in the final round of play. That score tied the University of Findlay record, held by all-Americans Kasey Petty and Shelby Warner, and set a new conference record. The Logansport, Ind. native helped guide her team to a 93-stroke victory in the event as the Oilers shot a 54-hole conference and school record, 876.
This is the second time in her career that Kniesly, last year's G-MAC Freshman of the Year, has won the league's Player of the Week award.
