Torres Earns Golfer of the Week Honors

Makenzie Torres, a senior on the University of Findlay women's golf team, was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Golfer of the Week on Oct. 17.

Torres won the Dayton Fall Invitational, which took place on Oct. 15-16 at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, with a 1-under par score of 139. She posted a 69 in the opening round and then came back with a 70 in the second for her total. Her 1-under par 139 was the third-lowest 36-hole score in school history, relative to par.

The Grove City, Ohio native has now won four tournaments during her tenure with the Oilers.
