The 12th-ranked University of Findlay women's golf team came from behind to win the Perry Park Spring Fling on March 31 in Perry Park, Ky. The Oilers fired a 298 on the second day of competition and finished the tournament with a 36-hole score of 609 (311, 298).

Sophomore Kristina Kniesly, senior Makenzie Torres, and junior Meredith Wipper all tied for fifth at the tournament to pace the Oilers with a two-round score of 152. Kniesly shot a 77 in the first round before carding a 75 in the second while Torres produced the exact same scores as Kniesly. Wipper meanwhile shot a 78 in the first round before posting a 2-over par score of 74 in the final round of competition.

Senior Samantha Hatter and freshman Jill Schmitmeyer tied for 12th at the vent with a 153 for Findlay as well. Hatter carded a 79 in the opening round before coming back with a 74 in round two for her total. Schmitmeyer shot a 74 in the first round and then carded a 79 in round two.

Junior Samantha Kellstrom tied for 21st with a 157 (75, 82), junior Mackenzie Keenoy tied for 29th with a 160 (82, 78), and junior Mikaela Hickey tied for 52nd with a 167 (83, 84).

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 8-9 at the NC4K Classic in Blacklick, Ohio.
