Oilers Score a Season-High 22 Goals in Win Over Urbana

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team earned a 22-14 victory over Urbana University on Sunday, April 14 at the Armstrong Sports Complex.  The win gives the Oilers a 4-10 record on the season with a 2-3 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers jumped out to a 14-4 lead at the break and then held off the Blue Knights in the final half to secure their second straight victory.

Findlay held a 35-24 advantage in shots and converted 7-of-14 free position shots in the win.  They also forced 19 Urbana turnovers as Emily Dinda picked up the victory with six saves for the Oilers.

Mackenzie Barnwell scored eight goals on only nine shots to lead the Oilers while Sarah Lankton contributed seven scores and two assists.

Olivia Porcaro registered five goals and Taylor Trice had two goals and an assist during the win.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 19 when they travel to Painesville, Ohio to take on Lake Erie College.  The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
