Lacrosse Season Ends in 1st Round of GLIAC Tourney

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team had their inaugural season come to a close on Tuesday, April 30 in South Euclid, Ohio as they were defeated by a score of 25-11 by Notre Dame (Ohio) College in the first round of the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament.

The Oilers fell behind early and could never recover as the Falcons posted an 18-5 lead at intermission. 

Taylor Trice and Mackenzie Barnwell each scored three goals apiece to lead the team while Sarah Lankton and Victoria Predmore each scored two in the loss.

Olivia Porcaro added the Oilers other goal while Lankton contributed three assists, ten draw controls, five ground balls and five caused turnovers.

The Falcons outshot the Oilers by a 35-23 margin as Findlay committed 25 turnovers during the contest.

The Oilers end their first season with a 6-12 record.
