Oilers Lacrosse Wins 2nd Straight

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team captured their second straight victory with an 18-17 win over the University of Bridgeport on March 27 in Bridgeport, Conn.

Freshman Kyra Bradley had a big day for the Oilers with seven goals on ten shot attempts while sophomore Sarah Lankton continued to play well with four goals, six ground balls, six draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Freshman Nicole Stines added three goals and four draw controls while sophomore Mackenzie Barnwell chipped in three goals on seven shots.

Sophomore Katie Poorman picked up her second win between the pipes by making seven saves.

The Oilers held a 39-32 advantage in the shot department and forced Bridgeport into 27 turnovers.  Findlay also held a 22-13 lead in ground balls during the game.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 29 when they face St. Thomas Aquinas at 1 p.m. in Sparkill, N.Y.
