Oilers Set Records in 27-5 Win over Ursuline

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team claimed a 27-5 win over Ursuline on Sunday, April 6 in Donnell Stadium. The win gives the Oilers a 4-7 record on the season with a 2-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers jumped out to a 17-4 lead at the break and then coasted through the second half as they established a new school record with 27 goals and 16 assists in the game.

Sophomore Sarah Lankton and freshman Nicole Stines paced the Oilers offense with five goals apiece while freshman Kyra Bradley chipped in four goals of her own to go along with four assists.

Lankton and Stines tied for the team lead in draw controls with six apiece while Lankton scooped up a team-high five ground balls.

Sophomore Mackenzie Barnwell added three goals and a pair of assists while freshmen Erin Stacho and Allison Kelly scored two apiece.

Sophomore Katie Poorman was victorious in goal by making three saves in the game.

The Oilers will hit the road next week to face Wheeling Jesuit on Friday, April 11. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. in Wheeling W. Va.
