The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 24-7 against Grand Valley State University on May 2 in the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament semifinals in Allendale, Mich. The loss ends the Oilers season as they finish with an 8-11 mark on the year.
Freshman Kyra Bradley and sophomore Mackenzie Barnwell each scored two goals to pace the Oilers offensive attack while sophomore Taylor Trice, freshman Erin Stacho and sophomore Sarah Lankton had one goal apiece in the game.
Lankton, sophomore Victoria Predmore and sophomore Katie Poorman each picked up four ground balls in the contest while sophomore Elisabeth Montalvo registered an assist.
Poorman was peppered all night long between the pipes and made seven saves.
The Lakers out-shot the Oilers by a 35-16 margin and were led by Ryan Skomial, who had five goals.
