Lankton Named GLIAC Athlete of the Week

Junior Sarah Lankton was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week on March 31 for her performance over the weekend.

Lankton scored seven goals to go along with 11 draws and five groundballs in helping the Oilers to a 1-1 record. She began the weekend with a four-goal effort in the Oilers 13-12 win at St. Thomas Aquinas on March 28. Lankton scored the game-winning goal in the contest with only eight seconds remaining and also added eight draws and four groundballs. She then followed with three goals and three draws in the Oilers 16-6 loss at tenth-ranked LIU-Post on March 29.

The Carmel, Ind. native ranks sixth in the GLIAC in scoring with 21 goals and is second in draw controls with 36.
