The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team had their three-game winning streak snapped against Tiffin University on April 12 as the Dragons claimed a 22-16 win over the Oilers in Donnell Stadium.

The game was evenly matched throughout as Tiffin held a slight 38-36 advantage in shots. Findlay held a 28-21 advantage in ground balls while the Dragons won 22 draw controls compared to 18 for the Oilers.

Junior Sarah Lankton paced the Oilers with five goals, seven ground balls, seven draw controls and five caused turnovers.

Sophomore Kyra Bradley was the leading scorer for the Oilers, chipping in six goals to go along with five draw controls.

Junior Mackenzie Barnwell and sophomore Melissa Peters each added two goals apiece.

Freshman Rachel Heath took the loss by allowing eight goals while freshman Brooke Eicher came in and allowed 14 goals to go along with eight saves

The Oilers, who are now 5-6 on the year with a 3-1 record in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play, will head to Grand Valley State University on April 17 for a 7 p.m. contest.
