Oilers Lose, Lankton Reaches 200

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team lost 18-15 at Shepherd University on April 25 in their final regular season game. The loss gives the Oilers a 7-9 record on the season.

The two teams played to a 7-7 tie at the half and were tied 10-10 midway through the second half before Shepherd scored four straight goals to open up a 14-10 lead. The Oilers tried to claw their way back into the game, but ran out of time.

Junior Sarah Lankton scored eight goals and had six draw controls to lead the Oilers. Her eight goals give her 200 for her career.

Sophomore Kyra Bradley added five goals to go along with six draw controls while freshman Brooke Eicher took the loss between the pipes by allowing 14 goals to go with seven saves.

The Oilers will host Ursuline on Tuesday at 7pm in the first round of the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament at Donnell Stadium.
