Lacrosse Advances to GLIAC Semifinals

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team defeated Ursuline College by a score of 20-8 on April 28 in Donnell Stadium during the first round of the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament.

The Oilers, who are now 8-9 on the season, received eight goals from sophomore Kyra Bradley in the win. Bradley also added two assists and four ground balls in the game.

Junior Sarah Lankton added three goals, three ground balls and three draw controls while freshman Maddi Brown, junior Taylor Trice, junior Mackenzie Barnwell and sophomore Erin Stacho had two goals apiece.

Freshman Natalie Fury had seven draw controls and freshman Brooke Eicher picked up the victory between the pipes. Eicher made three saves and allowed five goals.

Freshman Rachel Heath also spent time in goal, making seven saves.

Findlay will now face second-seeded Tiffin University in the semifinals at Grand Valley State University. The game is scheduled to be played on May 1 at 4 p.m. in Allendale, Mich.
