Lankton and Bradley Earn GLIAC Player of the Year Honors

Junior Sarah Lankton and sophomore Kyra Bradley highlighted the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) awards for women's lacrosse as the league office unveiled their annual all-conference teams on May 1 in Allendale, Mich.

Lankton captured GLIAC Midfielder of the Year honors for the second straight season while Bradley earned GLIAC Attacker of the Year accolades for their performance during the 2015 campaign.

Lankton, who was also a first team all-conference pick, ranks third in the GLIAC in goals with 69. She also leads the conference in ground balls (65) and draw controls (92).

During her career, the Carmel Ind. native has racked up the accolades. She was named first team all-conference and the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2013 before being named first team all-conference and the GLIAC Midfielder of the Year in 2014. She has also scored 209 career goals during her tenure at Findlay.

Bradley, who earned first team all-conference honors too, leads the GLIAC with 75 goals and 86 total points. She has scored a GLIAC-best 28 free position goals and ranks 11th with 43 draws. Her 75 total goals this season is also a school record.

During her career, the Port Coquitlam, British Columbia native has scored 134 goals. She was also named first team all-conference last year as a freshman.

In addition, sophomore Melissa Peters earned first team all-conference honors as well while junior Elisabeth Montalvo and freshmen Olivia Sherman, Maddi Brown and Natalie Fury captured honorable mention all-league status.

Peters has accumulated eight goals and six assists while Montalvo has one goal and 19 ground balls. Sherman has registered 31 goals and ten assists, Brown has recorded nine goals and four assists while Fury has one goal, 25 ground balls and 24 draw controls.
