Oilers Win Another Thriller, 9-8 over Tampa in OT

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team had another exciting to finish as they defeated the University of Tampa by a score of 9-8 in overtime on March 3 in Tampa, Fla. The victory evens the Oilers record at 2-2 on the year.

Tampa held a 3-1 advantage at the break and eventually went up by a score of 8-4 with only 7:04 to play in the game. The Oilers then went on a 4-0 run in the next four minutes to force overtime.

In overtime, senior Mackenzie Barnwell ended the contest with 2:04 showing on the clock when she scored unassisted.

Junior Kyra Bradley paced the team with four goals while Barnwell and senior Sarah Lankton scored two goals apiece.

Sophomore Brooke Eicher picked up the win by making 10 saves in the game.

The Oilers will return to action again on March 16 when they travel to Urbana, Ohio to take on Urbana University at 4 p.m.
