McKendree Edges Findlay 22-15

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team came up short against McKendree as they fell 22-15 on April 10 in Lebanon, Ill.

The Oilers, who are now 6-6 on the year with a 3-4 record in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play, were led by senior Sarah Lankton and junior Kyra Bradley in the game. Lankton scored six goals to go along with two assists, six draws, five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Bradley meanwhile had four goals, one assist and three draw controls in the loss.

Freshman Hannah Peebles recorded a hat trick with three goals while sophomore Maddi Brown added two more.

Sophomore Brooke Eicher started the game and allowed seven goals to take the loss while fellow sophomore Rachel Heath allowed 15 goals and made five saves.

The Oilers will be back at home on April 15 to host Grand Valley State. The game is scheduled to begin at 4pm on the turf at the Armstrong Sports Complex.
