Pink Game Slated for Friday

Pink Game Slated for Friday

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse program will be holding a "Pink Game" to raise awareness about breast cancer on Friday, April 15 against Grand Valley State University. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on the turf at the Armstrong Sports Complex.

The Oilers will be sporting pink jerseys during the contest against the Lakers and have honorary captains for both teams. Colleen Sherman, mother of Findlay sophomore Olivia Sherman, and Mickey Ellsworth, mother of Grand Valley State sophomore Bailey Ellsworth, will serve in those roles. Both mothers have fought breast cancer.

At halftime of the contest, there will be a shooting contest for fans to participate in. Prizes will be given away to those who score a goal.

There will also be a 50/50 ticket raffle at the gate with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
