Lankton Tabbed a 2nd Team All-American

University of Findlay senior Sarah Lankton was tabbed a second team NCAA Division II All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on May 18.

Lankton, who earned third team All-American honors for the Oilers last year, was a first team all-region pick during her senior season. She was also named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and was voted the GLIAC Midfielder of the Year for the third consecutive season.

A four-time, first team all-league pick, Lankton capped her career with 55 goals, 16 assists, 66 ground balls, 101 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers during the 2016 campaign. She also led Findlay to their first appearance in the GLIAC Championship.

The Carmel, Ind. native ended her career with totals of 262 goals, 79 assists, 299 ground balls, 427 draw controls and 120 caused turnovers, all Findlay records.
