Top-10 Individual Performances - #9 Sarah Lankton

The 2015-16 athletic year was another successful season for the Oilers, who saw a plethora of individual athletes achieve outstanding accomplishments. The UF athletic media relations staff has put together a list of the top-10 individual performances from the 2015-16 campaign and will be revealing them during the month of June.

#9 (Sarah Lankton, Women's Lacrosse)

Sarah Lankton capped her career by earning second team All-American honors. Lankton accumulated 55 goals, 16 assists, 66 ground balls, 101 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers during the 2016 campaign. She also led the Oilers to a 12-8 record, which included their first-ever appearance in the GLIAC Championship.

Lankton, who was also named first team all-region, was the 2016 GLIAC Midfielder of the Year. She was also tabbed first team all-conference. She finished the 2016 season ranked in the top-5 of the GLIAC in seven different statistical categories and was voted the GLIAC Player of the Week twice during the season (March 22, May 3). Lankton also became the first Oilers lacrosse player to earn national player of the week accolades on May 4 as well.

The Carmel, Ind. native finished her career with totals of 262 goals, 79 assists, 299 ground balls, 427 draw controls and 120 caused turnovers, all Findlay records. She was named the GLIAC Midfielder of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2016 and was voted first team all-conference four times during her tenure with the program. Lankton also earned third team All-American honors in 2015 and was tabbed second team all-region during the 2015 season as well. The standout was also selected as the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2013.
