Oilers Win 13-2 Over Charleston

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team captured a 13-2 victory over the University of Charleston on March 25 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The win gives the Oilers a 3-5 record on the season.

The Oilers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first 16 minutes of the game and then held Charleston scoreless in the second half. They dominated Charleston by holding a 33-9 advantage in shots and also racked up 13 draws compared to only four for Charleston.

Senior Kyra Bradley scored three goals and had two assists while junior Olivia Sherman had two goals, one assist and seven draws.

Sophomore Hannah Peebles added two goals, two draws and two ground balls while senior Natalie Fury led the defense and caused four turnovers. She also scored a goal and had six ground ball.

Freshman Ciara Burud tallied one goal, six ground balls and three draw controls while freshman Brittany Stephens caused three turnovers in the win.

Sophomore Claire Ferrell picked up the win by making five saves.

The Oilers will be back at home again on Monday, March 27 when they host Shepherd at 3 p.m.
