Oilers Rally Late But Fall 11-10 to Dragons

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 11-10 against Tiffin University on March 20 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The loss gives the Oilers a 4-2 record on the season.

The Oilers trailed 11-5 with under seven minutes to play when Maddi Brown scored to start a Findlay rally. Brie Caruso then scored three straight before Ciara Burud found the back of the net with only seconds remaining. The Oilers did get a shot off at the end to tie the game, but it sailed high.

Caruso had four goals and an assist to lead the team while Burud had three goals and an assist.

Olivia Sherman scored twice and won three draw controls while Natalie Fury and Emma Spellman each caused two turnovers.

Claire Ferrell picked up the loss by allowing 11 goals. She also recorded 13 saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 24 when they host Ursuline at 1:00 p.m.
