Oilers Extend Winning Streak to 5

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team earned an 18-3 win over Walsh University on April 8 in Canton, Ohio. The win pushed the Oilers record to 9-2 on the season with a 5-1 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers, who have now won five straight, outshot the Cavaliers by a 36-14 margin and picked up 24 ground balls in the game. They also won 13 draw controls and caused 17 turnovers.

Ciara Burud paced Findlay with four goals, three assists, five draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Brie Caruso also had a great game, scoring four goals, while Hannah Peebles had three goals and three assists.

Olivia Sherman recorded three goals, an assist and five draws while Maddi Brown had two goals and four assists.

Brittany Stephens caused four turnovers and picked up three ground balls while Emma Spellman caused four turnovers and picked up two ground balls.

Rachel Heath picked up the victory by allowing only three goals. She also made six saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 13 when they travel to Painesville, Ohio to face Lake Erie College at 6:30 p.m.
