Sherman Breaks Assist Record in Win

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team tied a school record with their 12th win of the year after defeating Ohio Valley University by a score of 22-3 on April 21 in Vienna, W. Va. The Oilers, who established a school record with 12 wins during the 2016 campaign, are now 12-3 on the season with an 8-2 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers, who scored a season-high 22 goals in the contest, were led by Hannah Peebles and her four goals. She also added four ground balls and caused a turnover.

Allison Kelly recorded three goals and three assists while Maddi Brown had three goals and one assist.

Allie Kasprzyk posted two goals and a pair of assists, Jacelyn Litman had two goals and two assists and Ciara Burud and Hanna Morgan each registered two goals in the victory.

Olivia Sherman added one goal and two assists, giving her a school record 25 on the season. She bettered the mark of 24 set by Sarah Lankton in 2013 and Peebles last year.

Claire Ferrell picked up the victory and made three saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 27 when they host Alderson Broaddus University at 4pm.
